Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and the Economic climate it brought to the World it has changed the whole workplace scenario – and not for the better.
In today’s busy world, and with the current economic conditions being what they are, it has become more and more difficult to find flexible jobs in the marketplace.
If you are a stay at home mom, gone are the days of picking up a few hours at the local Business Office answering phones and filing paperwork while your kids are gone at school.
Those jobs, and many others, have been taken already by over qualified candidates that are simply looking for a job, any job, during these difficult economic times.
That being said, how and where do stay at home moms find part time sources of income? An even more challenging question, where do they find a job that will allow them to work on a flexible schedule to work around their kids (a mom’s schedule)?
The answer, work from home business ideas.
We have all heard of these work from home business ideas. Most of the time, we hear them in the “Get rich quick” type of advertising.
“Make hundreds of dollars per day taking easy surveys!” or “Make $15,000/month blogging!” or “Google pays you $10,000/month for simply posting ads!”
The craziness goes on and on and on. Just when I think I have heard them all, a new “get rich quick” pitch enters my SPAM email box (some are actually quite entertaining)!
However, let the truth be told, you can actually make quite a bit of money using most of these work from home businesses!
Let the “$100,000/day” testimonials go in one ear and out the other, begin to think realistically, and you will be able to see some great opportunity and potential in most of these solutions.
Could you make $1,000/day using these methods?
Maybe.
Maybe if you are the best, of the best, of the best and you used every second of a 24 hour day as efficiently as possible. However, you are most likely not a Super Hero and are just an average person.
So, not very likely.
If you can break it down realistically, and figure out the ideal situation, you will have a much better chance of success.
For example, if you were looking for part time work in the “real world” (not work from home) and could honestly put in 10 hours a week (40 hours a month), at say a pay rate of $15/hour (good for an average part time position), you would make approximately $600 a month, with minimal opportunity for pay increase or flexible hours.
Not to mention, you would probably have to drive to work (gas, parking, wear on car).
Now, when you start your band new, work from home internet business, and you put in an HONEST 40 hour month, don’t be surprised if you only make $400 your first check.
That’s $10 an hour. Not the best, but still money and you worked from the comfort of your own home.
Most of these work from home businesses pay by the job, not hourly. As in everything else you do in life, the more you do something, the better and more efficient you become.
Therefore, you will start becoming more and more comfortable with your daily work from home tasks, and be able to handle a much larger work load (more jobs) in the time you have set aside.
Essentially, you will be giving yourself a per hour pay raise! You may start to see your monthly checks get larger and larger, thus seeing your “hourly rate” increasing too.
After a while, as you become even more efficient, you may even consider working more hours, taking on more jobs and earning even more money!
Bottom line, be realistic, be patient, and most important be honest with yourself, and you will succeed!
